Leticia Welfare Organisation Malaysia

Founded in 2023, Leticia Welfare Organisation Malaysia (LWOM) is dedicated to improving the welfare of marginalised communities and our members through impactful programs in community development, education, socio-economy, health & well-being, and inclusive.

We design initiatives that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create lasting change. By collaborating with government bodies, NGOs, and community partners, we complement existing welfare efforts, address current social issues, and support policies that enhance quality of life.

Our vision is to build a more just, inclusive, and progressive Malaysia where everyone has the opportunity to prosper and live with dignity

Education

Education changes lives. We support children, youth, and adults either typical development & neurodivergent by providing learning opportunities that are practical and empowering. From tutoring for school students to digital skills for adults, we help people gain the knowledge they need to grow, get better jobs, or start something of their own. We believe that learning doesn’t stop in school—it’s lifelong.

Let’s Tours Project

We bring early detection and awareness straight to the community — visiting kindergartens and schools to identify developmental delays in speech, social, motor, and behavior. Through engaging sessions with universities, teachers, and parents, we share practical strategies and emphasize why early intervention changes lives. By focusing on underserved communities, we open doors to the right support, ensuring every child has the chance to grow, learn, and thrive.

Community Development

We work closely with communities to understand their needs and support them in creating approaches that truly fit their context. Whether it’s training local leaders, running community projects, or building safer and more connected spaces, we believe real change starts from the ground up. When communities are strong, everyone has a better chance to thrive.

Mentorpreneur Program

The core focus of this initiative is to uplift and empower entrepreneurs which particularly youth, women, and individuals from the B40 income group by helping them grow, stabilize, and scale their businesses. This includes providing hands-on skills training, access to support networks, digital marketing opportunities, and tailored mentorship based on the real challenges faced by these communities. Ultimately, the goal is to build a more inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem while creating pathways for upward social mobility among underserved groups.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

We create safe zone, non-judgmental spaces where people can open up, find support, and begin their journey toward better mental well-being. Our mental health programs include awareness campaigns, peer support groups, and workshops. We aim to break the stigma and make mental health a regular part of everyday conversations.

The Semicolon Project (;)

Project Semicolon is a global mental health movement that uses the semicolon ( ; ) as a symbol of hope,  resilience, and the belief that one’s story is not over. Founded in 2012 by Amy Bleuel, it has inspired countless people to speak openly about their struggles and support one another. In response, Leticia Welfare Organisation Malaysia has embraced this initiative to raise awareness, foster understanding, and empower individuals living with mental health challenges to keep going. The project serves as a platform for advocacy, encouraging solidarity and working to end the stigma surrounding mental health and mental illness.

Inclusive

We believe in a world where everyone is included. We work to support persons with disabilities by providing training, job opportunities, and inclusive spaces where they can be seen, heard, and valued. We also work with partners to make communities, schools, and workplaces more accessible and disability-friendly.

NeuroBloom Project

We believe every individual — regardless of ability — deserves the opportunity to thrive. Project NeuroBloom is our dedicated initiative focusing on neurodivergent individuals and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), aiming to nurture potential, build skills, and strengthen support systems. Through specialized training and intervention programs for parents, we equip families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support their children’s growth. By fostering awareness, inclusivity, and early support, Project NeuroBloom seeks to create communities where neurodivergent individuals and PWDs can bloom to their fullest potential.

Let’s Give Project

Through this charitable initiative, we aim to support underprivileged individuals and families by offering not just material aid, but also a sense of hope, dignity, and human connection. No contribution is too small, even the simplest act of giving can make a profound difference in someone’s life.
